The Bold North Difference
Gutters have one job: move water off your roof and away from your foundation. When they're too small for the roof area they're draining, improperly pitched, sagging from poor hanger placement, or clogged from debris accumulation, they fail at that job — and the water goes somewhere it shouldn't. Foundation erosion, basement moisture, fascia board rot, and ice dam formation along eaves are all connected to gutter systems that aren't working correctly. Most of these problems develop gradually and are preventable.
Seamless aluminum gutters are what we install and recommend for most Minnesota homes. Seamless gutters have no joints along the gutter run — the only seams are at corners and downspout connections — which dramatically reduces the leak points that develop in sectional gutters over time. We size gutters correctly for the roof area they're draining: most standard gutters are undersized for the volume Minnesota rain events produce, particularly the heavy summer storm cells that move through the south metro. Proper sizing prevents overflow that erodes landscaping and directs water toward the foundation.
Gutter repair covers sagging sections where hangers have failed, seam sealing on sectional gutters, downspout reattachment, and end cap replacement. Gutter guards are worth discussing for homeowners dealing with chronic clogging — we install them when they genuinely make sense for the home's tree coverage and not as an automatic upsell. We often add gutters to roof replacement and siding projects — one crew, one visit, one cleanup.
Options we offer
Gutter Services We Provide
Seamless Aluminum Gutter Installation
Custom-fabricated on-site to fit your roofline exactly. 5-inch and 6-inch profiles available. Properly sized for your roof's drainage area and pitched correctly toward downspouts. Multiple color options.
Gutter Repair
Sagging section reattachment, hanger replacement, seam sealing, end cap repair, and downspout reattachment. Most repairs completed in a single visit.
Downspout Extension & Drainage
Downspouts need to direct water at least 4 feet from the foundation. We extend short downspouts and recommend underground drainage options for persistent foundation moisture situations.
Gutter Guard Installation
For homes with heavy tree coverage and chronic clogging, gutter guards reduce maintenance frequency. We install them when they make sense — not as an automatic add-on.

Common Questions
Gutter Services FAQ
How much do new gutters cost in Minnesota?
Seamless aluminum gutter installation typically runs $8–$15 per linear foot installed, including downspouts. A standard Minnesota home with 150–200 linear feet of gutter run would typically cost $1,200–$3,000. Adding gutters to a roof replacement project often allows us to bundle the work efficiently.
Should I get 5-inch or 6-inch gutters?
For most Minnesota homes, 5-inch gutters are adequate for standard rooflines. However, homes with larger roof surface areas, steeper pitches, or in areas that receive heavy summer storm rainfall benefit from 6-inch gutters that handle higher water volume without overflow. We assess your specific roofline and recommend the right size.
Do gutter guards work?
Gutter guards reduce cleaning frequency — they don't eliminate it entirely. For homes with heavy tree coverage where gutters clog multiple times per season, guards provide genuine value. For homes with minimal tree debris, they're not necessary. We tell you honestly which situation you're in.
How often should gutters be cleaned in Minnesota?
At minimum, gutters should be cleaned once in late fall after leaves have dropped and once in spring after winter debris accumulation. Homes with heavy deciduous tree coverage may need cleaning more frequently. Clogged gutters in winter create ice dam conditions along eaves — a significant contributor to roof damage.
